Changes to Learner Portfolios, Pre-Course Application and Post-Course Feedback Forms
Posted on 4th June 2019
Following member feedback, Safety Training Awards has updated the learner portfolios for first aid, pool plant, and health and safety qualifications, plus the Pool Emergency Responder qualification.
The pre-course application and post-course feedback forms have been separated from the portfolios—these are now available to download from STA Online. This means tutors will only need to download the forms they require and offers learners the opportunity to complete the feedback form post-course and return to Safety Training Awards directly. This reduces the amount of portfolio paperwork approved training centres are required to retain.
The pre-course application form must be kept by the approved training centre for quality assurance purposes. The post-course feedback form must still be returned to Safety Training Awards (either by post/email or by being uploaded to the course record via STA Online) as these forms provide important information required to evaluate learners’ experiences with our qualifications and the approved training centre who provided the course.
The learner portfolios have been amended following member and learner feedback, however there have been no technical content changes. Therefore, the current portfolios are still valid and can be used, however after 1st September 2019, Safety Training Awards requires the new portfolios to be in use. If an approved training centre has old portfolios for a course after 1st September 2019, please contact atc@safetytrainingawards.co.uk to receive new portfolios. Safety Training Awards will send out the new portfolios for any courses registered from 4th June 2019.
