Explore STA’s NEW Online Pool Snorkelling CPD

Following the announcement at STA’s Conference in October, we are extremely pleased to launch today the new STA Pool Snorkelling CPD.
STA’s Pool Snorkelling CPD is aimed at STA Junior Lifeguard Instructors and STA Certificate in Teaching Swimming holders who wish to deliver pool snorkelling as part of a contrasting activity, a fun one-off session, or part of a holiday scheme. The online training programme provides additional information on how to teach the specific pool snorkelling elements of the Junior Lifeguard Programme and International Learn to Swim Programme covering:
- STA Pool Snorkelling programme overview
- Safety
- Equipment, safe use, and techniques
- Safe entries
- Safe snorkelling
- Hand signals
- Snorkelling game ideas.
The programme will take approximately 2 hours and upon successful completion, 0.5 CPD point will be awarded. The programme does not expire; however, it is recommended learners revisit CPD’s as often as necessary to keep knowledge up to date, as well as undergo additional site-specific training to maintain competency.
