Technical Notice: Updated Policies

Following the update to STA Online and removal of Synergy, Safety Training Awards (STA) have updated the Awarding Organisation policies and documents. The policies and documents have been amended to reflect the changes in terminology, references to Synergy and procedural processes within STA Online.

The following policies and documents have been updated:

  • Approved Training Centre Manual
  • Approved Training Centre Tutor and Assessor Agreement
  • Complaints Policy
  • Conflict of Interest Policy
  • Customer Service Statement
  • Endorsement Policy
  • Enquiries and Appeals Policy
  • Equal Opportunities Policy
  • International External Quality Assurance Policy
  • Malpractice and Maladministration Policy
  • Reasonable Adjustments and Special Considerations Policy
  • Sanctions Policy
  • Recognition of Prior Learning Policy and Procedures
  • Use of Languages for Regulated Qualifications Policy
  • Whistleblowing Policy

The Approved Training Centre Manual has changed to reflect the procedural changes due to the removal of synergy.

The policies and documents are available now on STA Online within the ATC Document Hub. ATC Co-ordinators, tutors, assessors and IQAs should read through the policies and documents to ensure they are familiar with the amendments.

STA strongly recommend ATC Co-ordinators review their own ATC policies and procedures to ensure reflect the removal of Synergy and implementation of STA Online.
