This CPD is aimed at STA Certificate in Teaching Swimming (or acceptable equivalent) holders. It provides refresher information on how to teach diving, competitive starts and turns, including the use of starting platforms, within a learn to swim environment. It has been designed for the purposes of maintaining occupational competency.
Important note: This CPD does not permit swimming teachers who do not hold the STA Certificate in Teaching Swimming (or acceptable equivalent) to teach these advanced skills as they are outside the remit of other swimming teaching qualifications.
This online programme will take approximately 2 hours and upon successful completion, 0.5 CPD points will be awarded. There is no assessment at the end but there is a statement of declaration to confirm all information has been read and understood.
The programme does not expire; however, it is recommended learners revisit the CPD as often as necessary to keep knowledge up to date, as well as undergo additional site-specific training to maintain competency.
