First Aid Update

Back in June 2016 we advised tutors on the HSE updates to STA first aid courses, which were to include AED awareness within Emergency First Aid at Work and First Aid at Work courses as standard.
We can now confirm that all course resources for these qualifications have been updated to include the safe application and use of an AED.
All registered Emergency First Aid at Work and First Aid at Work courses will now need to include the safe application and use of an AED. The number of AEDs to learners on courses must not exceed one AED to four learners. Mini AED training units are available to purchase from the STA Swim-Shop.
