Guidance on the Use of Tablets and Electronic Devices During Swimming Lessons

STA has developed a new policy in conjunction with MOR Solutions to support swim schools and swimming teachers in the effective use of tablets on poolside.
With industry changes and technological advancements, employers and employees are adapting to their surroundings and embracing technological changes to support and assist their businesses. This has resulted in technology being introduced to swim teachers to help monitor and record attendance, assessments and awards. With the introduction of tablets to poolside, this has had an impact on swimming teachers’ delivery; which in turn has prompted calls and emails to STA concerning the use of tablets.
From these enquiries regarding the use of tablets on poolside, STA has produced this policy as guidance for employers and employees. STA would like to stress that this is guidance and in accordance to ‘best practice’ and it is down to the individual employers and employees to ensure they are compliant within the industry.
