Once You’re Qualified
First aid courses are a fantastic stepping stone for other careers, such as nursing, emergency medical services and childcare.
STA also offer several resources and CPDs to keep you up-to-date with changes in first aid, including annual refresher training.
It’s also important to remember your expiry date, as you will have to renew or retake your qualification before it runs out to ensure that you remain a qualified first aider.
By completing my First Aid at Work qualification, I feel confident that should I need to use any of the skills I had learned on the course, I could do so correctly.

Enables holders to be able to act as an appointed person to take charge of the first aid arrangements, including looking after the equipment and facilities and calling the Emergency Medical Services when required.
Aims to give the learner knowledge and assess them on their ability to deal with emergency situations, how to recognise and respond to serious medical conditions and serious injuries.
The aim of the CPR and AED course is to enable learners to deliver the safe application of an automated external defibrillator (AED).
